| Lindau was founded around 950, and has now 26,000
inhabitants. The historic town center remains on an island in the
Lake of Constance. The surrounding area offers small lakes,
fruit-growing areas, vineyards, and forests. It provides a
beautiful complement to the panorama of the adjacent Alps. |
